Summer months bring the heat. It is important when continuing your exercise regimen, or starting a new one. to stay safe with just a few simple summer safety guidelines.
Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of water or other sports drink before, during, and after your workout.
Avoid extreme heat – Avoid exercise when possible during the hottest times of the day such as 10am -3pm, or elect for an indoor workout.
Listen to your body – Be aware of signs of heat exhaustion including faintness, nausea, swelling, fever, cool, moist skin, or low blood pressure.
