Mike came to Louisiana in 1973, attending LSU and worked 4 years as a student athletic trainer with the LSU Medical Staff where he worked with all athletes and travelled with the football and basketball teams. He went on to Physical Therapy School at Louisiana State University Medical Center where he received  a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1979. He came to LaPlace in 1980 and started River Parishes Physical Therapy where he worked in an out-patient clinic in LaPlace and provided in-patient and out-patient physical therapy care at St. James Hospital from 1980-1999, and worked with athletes at Lutcher, Riverside, and St. Charles Catholic high schools. He then began a Physical Therapy practice in Metairie where he worked until retiring in 2022. After several months of missing what he enjoyed doing in life he has found a home with the Cypress Physical Therapy team and “feels privileged” to work side by side with several young men he has watched grow up, and coached and taken care of as aspiring young athletes. Mike’s motto is from Mark Twain, “Find a job you love and never work a day in your life”
